In this session, you will understand the recent changes to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) that affect governmental entities; compliance requirements; and auditing standards.

Attending this webinar will improve your ability to identify the significant authoritative pronouncements that were recently issued such as GASB Statements, GASB Implementation Guides, proposed GASB standards, and the GASB technical agenda and future projects.

The compliance update portion of this session will improve your ability to: recognize primary changes in the recent compliance supplement and addenda issued by the Office of Management and Budget; describe various revisions to Government Auditing Standards and Single Audit requirements as well as other government regulations; comprehend the recent announcements issued by the Federal Audit Clearinghouse; and identify problem areas found in recent peer reviews relating to the single audit.

This webinar also includes recent changes made by the AICPA which will: improve your ability to identify changes to recently issued AICPA Audit Guide and Risk Alerts that affect governmental entities; recognize change in the Statements on Auditing Standards (SASs) and describe recent changes to the AICPA Technical Questions and Answers.
