Upon successful completion of this course, the user should be able to:

• recognized the ethical principles, professional values, and standards that govern the conduct of Texas CPAs, including the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and the Texas Rules of Professional Conduct;

• apply ethical reasoning and professional judgment to evaluate ethical dilemmas, resolve conflicts, and uphold the public interest while fulfilling professional responsibilities; and

• identify the ethical responsibilities and professional obligations applicable to CPAs serving in public practice, business and industry, government, and education, including the importance of integrity, objectivity, independence, due car, and professional conduct.
