Elise G. Jancura, CPA, CGMA, PhD

Elise G. Jancura was Professor Emerita of Accounting and Computer and Information Science at Cleveland State University and also served as Professor of Accounting at Notre Dame College of Ohio and as interim Chair of the Dept. and Professor of Accounting at the State University of New York, Fredonia. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Jancura served as Chairperson of the Department of Accounting at Cleveland State University and also as Associate Dean of the College of Business at Cleveland State University. Prior to joining the university, Dr. Jancura was a systems engineer at International Business Machines. In addition to several books, Dr. Jancura authored numerous articles in academic and professional journals. She received many awards for outstanding teaching and academic leadership from both academic and professional organizations. Dr. Jancura was active in the Ohio Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the American Accounting Association, the Accounting and Financial Women's Alliance, and the American Women's Society of CPAs, having served as an officer and on many committees of these organizations.
