Emily A. Sterrett, Ph.D.

Emily A. Sterrett (1952 - 2013) was President of PerformanceWorks, LLC, a training and management consulting company specializing in leadership development and change management. She provided training seminars, speeches, organizational consulting, and leadership coaching. In addition to consulting, Emily's background included human resources management; training and development; career, academic, and rehabilitation counseling; and college teaching. Emily was a popular seminar leader, and she taught hundreds of seminars and college classes in management, psychology, and career development during her 25-year professional career. She earned a Ph.D. in social/organizational psychology from The Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the author of The Manager's Pocket Guide to Emotional Intelligence, a complete and successful leadership training program for first-level leaders. Emily was a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the local chapter of American Society for Training and Development.
