William E. (Bill) Thompson, CIA, CBA, CRMA, CFE

William E. (Bill) Thompson is President of T Paradigm, Inc., which has specialized in bank auditing, compliance and loan review, technology consulting, and development of auditors and audit systems for more than five decades. He has been involved in bank auditing since 1963, with responsibilities including audit management and as chief audit executive in small to large banks. Bill was International Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in 1981 - 1982. He had one of the early assignments as director of internal control for a major bank and had responsibilities for research and development of bank operating systems. Bill was the Director of Education and later Director of Research and Development at the Global Headquarters of the IIA. He has served on the faculties of the IIA, the School for Bank Administration, and the Independent Bankers' Association of America. He has been a frequent lecturer for these organizations and others and has developed educational materials for a number of professional organizations.
